Vandalism of
traditional rock art has revealed that much of our African culture
is disappearing; depriving our generation of the opportunity to
communicate through ancestral messages, secret codes and symbolic
rituals.
My recent work
has come out a trend that I call Schematic Tantrums, a purely
abstract and symbolic way of painting inspired as a continuation
of traditional rock art. The Bag Factory residence has been the
best platform for nurturing my prolific style and helping to translate
my inspiration into a body of work.
