Meet the Bag Factory Community of Artists

27 November 2022 from 10 am - 4 pm

We are super excited to host our own Bag Factory's #OpenStudios+

This 1-Day event provides our audiences, neighbours and community of supporters an opportunity for a one-on-one encounter with Bag Factory's Studio based Artists and visiting Artists-in-Residence. On the day you can get to #know their creative processes, inspiration, topics they tackle, the mediums they work in, and see the final artwork creation.

On the day we will highlight Marcia Harvey Isaksson's (Zimbabwe/Sweden), 3-month Artist-in-Residency time at the Bag Factory, which unfortunately comes to an end in November. We also introduce Anna Ehrenstein (Germany/Albania), an Artist/Curator who begins her guest residency time with us. Come and meet our visiting artists.

Through your encounters with our artists, you have a chance to start or build your personal art collection, by purchasing directly from them, which in turn supports their professional practice!

Artists include: Anna Ehrenstein, Bev Butkow, Brian Montshiwa, Candice Kramer, Erla Haraldsdottir, Fatima Moosa, Gail Behrmann, Henrietta Scholtz, Kay-Leigh Fisher, Marcia Harvey Isaksson, Nadia Laila Myburgh, Nyakallo Maleke, Pat Mautloa, Phumulani Ntuli, Richard 'Specs' Ndimande, Sharlene Khan + AVP Collective & Wezile Harmans
