The board and staff of the Fordsburg Artists’ Studios (Bag Factory) are committed to a policy of equality of opportunity in the employment practices of the organisation. We believe that it is in the organization’s best interests to ensure that the human resources, talents and skills available throughout the community, in particular the previously the previously disadvantaged community, are considered when employment opportunities arise.

The board will take disciplinary action against members of staff who discriminate against or harass other members of staff or other people with whom they come into contact in the course of their employment by the Fordsburg Artists’ Studios, for reasons of gender, race, religion, disability or sexual orientation.

The Fordsburg Artists’ Studios always strives to ensure that its exhibitions and educational services are accessible to all sections of the community, particularly those which were previously disadvantaged. Any employee who believes that he or she has not been equitably treated within the scope of the policy should raise the matter with the Director. Any job applicant who believes that she or he has not been equitably treated may write to the Director who will investigate the complaint.

Please address any complaints in writing to sara@bagfactoryart.org.za
