Fundraising

The Bag Factory, more properly known as The Fordsburg Artists’ Studios , is a not for profit organisation established in 1991. (registration number 1991/001419/08)

We would like to express our grateful thanks to all who have supported the Bag Factory Artists’ Studios

- We are currently working through a three year agreement from the National Arts Council valued at R1 million a year.

- The National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund has been supporting the Bag Factory’s projects.

- The Gauteng Department of Sports, Arts, Culture and Recreation, are currently supporting the 20 Fine Years print portfolio which is a collaboration with the Artist Proof Studios.

In the past we have recieved grants from the Ford Foundation, the Mellon Foundation, The WK Kellogg Foundation, The Royal Netherlands Embassy, The Arts & Culture Trust, Pro Helvetia, and The MTN Foundation.

Robert Loder continues to support us by providing us with the Bag Factory Building.
