Join us on Sun, 18 Apr from 11 am–3 pm for our Autumn Open Studios.
Drop by and get to know our studio and current residency artists at this free event offering Johannesburg audiences a unique opportunity to see, hear about and discuss the research and work-in-progress that our artists have been developing over the course of this year.
To close off the event, there will be a panel discussion at 2 pm with the international creatives currently in residence at the Bag Factory, moderated by independent curator Fadzai Muchemwa (Zimbabwe). The panellists are artist Thebe Phetogo (Botswana) and curator Tila Likunzi (Angola). They will be joined by Tawanda Takudza (Zimbabwe) currently in residence at Oxford Parks as part of a collaborative pop-up exhibition presented by Bag Factory and Guns & Rain. Don’t miss it!
- We will be exercising social distancing precautions and no more than 50 people will be permitted in the building at a time; with a maximum of 2 people permitted in each artist’s studio at a time.
